Resin Bond Grinding Operator
This position is responsible for final manual machining and/or grinding of the product. This will include tasks such as turning, milling, drilling, grinding and polishing. This position is entry-level, full-time, with opportunities for overtime.
SUMMARY: As a Resin Bond Grinding Operator at Continental Diamond Tool, you will responsible for operating and maintaining resin bond grinding machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This will include tasks such as turning, drilling, grinding and polishing. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
DUTIES:
Operate resin bond grinding machines to grind and finish precision parts according to specifications.
Set up and adjust grinding machines, including selecting and installing grinding wheels and adjusting machine settings.
Required to read, understand, and follow work orders and engineering drawings.
Ability to inspect the product using scales, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, comparators and other equipment as needed.
Ability to select the proper work holding and tooling needed for optimum productivity.
Ability to recognize, trouble shoot and correct noncompliant products
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and properly using and maintaining PPE.
Required to meet standard productivity requirements.
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring tools such as scales, Calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, comparators and other equipment as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
Perform other duties as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Safely run and use required equipment.
Required to read and understand work instructions, paperwork, and drawings.
High school diploma or GED; technical training in machining or grinding preferred.
Proven experience as a grinding operator, preferably with resin bond grinding machines.
Strong understanding of grinding processes and techniques.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
3+ years of related experience preferred.
High level of interpersonal communication skills.
Good computer skills; excel, word, ERP systems.
Excellent attention to detail and have sound judgement

Quality Control/Inspection - L2
This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving in-process production and finished products, and recording quality results.
SUMMARY: As part of Continental Diamond Tool's Quality Control and Inspection Department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to quality standards by approving in-process production and finished products, and meticulously recording quality results. Conduct thorough inspections and checks during the manufacturing process, whether for partially assembled or fully finished products
HOURS: 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. LEVEL: 2
DUTIES:
Required to read, understand and follow work orders, process sheets, and engineering drawings.
Measure and verify parts by measuring dimensions for first-run parts and work pieces utilizing the following equipment: comparator, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, indicators and other measuring equipment as needed.
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the operator or production supervisor.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, reporting needed repairs.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Responsible for the inspection and, if possible, correction of any RGAs returned
Ability to inspect and measure any buyouts (cores, molds, diamond rolls) as requested using the required measuring equipment.
Good PC skills and experience of Microsoft Office
Report on time and material in manufacturing systems

This position is responsible for the pressing/firing, inspection, and mounting of resin bonded product. This is an entry-level full-time position with opportunities for overtime. 3rd shift positions available.
SUMMARY: As a Pressing Technician in our Resin Bond Department, you will be making essential tools for some of the world’s most high-tech industries. You will be responsible for the pressing/firing, inspection, and mounting of resin bonded (RB) ) products through tasks such as cleaning and assembly of the molds, filling and pressing/firing of product. All will be required to adhere to quality and safety standards, maintain equipment and tooling, and keep accurate records. You will play an essential role in our company's commitment to excellence and ongoing success.
HOURS:
We currently have opportunities available for both full-time 1st and 3rd shift positions. 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. 3rd shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. There is a $1.50/hr. shift premium for these full-time positions with opportunities for overtime.
