Process Improvement Engineer

SUMMARY:  As a Process Improvement Engineer at Continental Diamond Tool, you will play a key role in driving innovation and efficiency for our customers and industry. Your primary goal as the Process Improvement Engineer is to analyze and process data to recommend and implement changes to production, processes, and structure, ensuring the entire organization benefits from these improvements. This role involves evaluating current manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and developing strategies to enhance productivity and quality. The Process Improvement Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, monitor the impact of implemented changes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. This position requires strong analytical skills, a background in lean manufacturing, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position resides in the Quality department and reports to the Quality Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with the Quality Team and Senior Leadership Team on necessary initiatives.

  • Analyze Current Processes: Evaluate existing business processes workflows and KPI’s to identify areas of inefficiency.

  • Develop Improvement Plans: Create and implement strategies to optimize processes and improve productivity.

  • Monitor and Adjust: Track the effects of implemented changes and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvements are adopted and followed.

  • Use Data Analysis: Utilize statistical analysis to assess the impact of changes and support decision-making.

  • Facilitate Change Management: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and manage the change process effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of operations experience.

  • Lean training and background.

  • Strong computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Project management skills.

  • Experience with Kaizen planning and execution.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.

  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing needs.
