Human Resources Generalist

SUMMARY:  As the HR Generalist for CDT, you will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources department. This position is responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.

HOURS: Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITiES:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:

    • Assist in recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.

    • Assist with new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.

  • Benefits Administration:

    • Coordinate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

    • Address employee inquiries related to benefits.

  • Employee Relations:

    • Handle employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary matters.

    • Promote a positive work environment and address employee concerns.

  • HR Policies and Compliance:

    • Distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies

    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • Payroll and Records:

    • Assist with payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records.

    • Handle timekeeping and attendance tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or 3+ years human resources experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) preferred.
